Great Magicians

1 . David Blaine
David Blaine (April 4, 1973 -) is an American illusionist and stunt performer born in Brooklyn, New York City. He made his a name as a performer of close-up magic, usually working on the streets. His act includes a variation of the Balducci levitation illusion. This format, recorded by a small camera crew, provided the basis for his breakthrough television special, "David Blaine : Street Magician".
He later turned his attention to feats of endurance, including being buried alive for five days and spending 61 hours encased in ice. His most recent feat in 2002 was standing on a tiny platform at the top of a 100 foot high pole for 35 hours, followed by jumping down onto a landing platform made of cardboard boxes.

2 . Derren Brown
Derren Brown (b. 1971, Croydon, England) is a British psychological illusionist. Since the first broadcast of his channel 4 television show in 2000 he has become increasingly well known for his "mind-reading" act. Derren Brown makes no claims to possess psychic ability. He achieves stunning results by making use of his deep psychological insight. Using his knowledge and skill he is able to predict and influence people's thoughts with subtle suggestion, manipulate the decision making process and read the subtle physical signs or body language that indicate what a person is thinking.

3 . P. C. Sorcar
P. C. Sorcar (Junior) is the living legend of Indian Magic. He is "BANGAL-KA-JADU" personified and is what "Magic of India" means today. P.C.SORCAR(Senior), father of P.C.SORCAR(Junior), who popularised their family art of "MAGIC" beyond the boundaries of India elevating the presentations to a more prestigious pedestal of theatrical form of International standard, keeping the Indian traditions as the central motif. He gave a new lease of life to the dying art and thus is recognised as "THE FATHER OF INDIAN MAGIC".

4 . T. Nelson Downs
(1867-1938), the King of Koins, is pictured with his two books, the "Art of Magic" and "Tricks with Coins", which have become sleight of hand classics.
Downs created an act consisting entirely of coin manipulation. The conventional wisdom was that coins would be too small to be seen from a distance, but Downs' act not only defied conventional wisdom but went on to become one of the most popular and highly paid acts in vaudeville. The 'Miser's Dream' routine he created, in which a seemingly endless number of coins were plucked into existence at this fingertips, has been emulated by performers ever since, and remains the standard classic of coin magic.

5. Harry Kellar
(1849 – 1922) Kellar was was named the 1st "Dean of American magicians", and during his performing lifetime was America's most popular magician . He undertook two world tours, A master of magic at all scales,Kellar is perhaps most famous for the Levitation of Princess Karnac, an illusion originated by Maskelyne, which Kellar revised and made his own.

6 . oward Thurston
(1869-1936) Thurston was anointed second "Dean" of American Magicians, by the first Dean, the legendary Harry Kellar, when Kellar retired. Although he was the most popular magician in America for more than three decades, and Kellar's designated successor, Thurston's passion seemed to lie in proving his acumen as a business-man unrelated to conjuring.,
