The number of playing card is 52 in a deck. There are many types of tricks in playing cards. With a deck of cards, you can do quick magic tricks anytime and anywhere. Everybody can do this tricks through practice.
Some of easy playingcard tricks are given below.
This is a good self working card trick I find very useful when a spectator makes it impossible for you to do a trick. I call the trick, Mathomatic.
Method: Ask a person to choose a card. tell him to remember it's numerical value (Ace = one, Jack- = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13) Also to remember the suit of the card.
Tell them to double the value of the card.
Then tell them to add three to the total.
Then tell them to multiply the complete total by five.
This done ask them to concentrate on the suit.
If the card is a diamond they must add one.
If the card is a club they must add two.
If the card is a heart they must add three.
If the card is a spade they must add four.
They must then tell you the final total.
From this total, you immediately know the chosen card.
The Secret: Is to mentally subtract 15 from the given total. You will have a number of two figures, possibly three
The last figure gives you the suit (diamonds 1, clubs 2, hearts 3, spades 4.) while the first figure gives you the suit.
Example: Jack of clubs
11 doubled is 22, add 3--25, multiply by 5--125. add for clubs--makes 127. You are told that number.
Subtract 15 mentally. Result 112. means clubs, means Jack.
Cutting to Aces is an easy trick that requires no difficult moves - you just have to keep track of where things are going.
The spectator separates a deck of cards into four piles, mixes them a bit, and at the end, discovers that there's an ace on top of each pile. All you need is a deck of cards, an easy setup and the secret, and you're ready to go.
In this easy magic trick, the spectator separates a deck of cards into four piles, mixes them a bit, and at the end, discovers that there’s an ace on top of each pile. All you need is a deck of cards, an easy setup and the secret, and you’re ready to go.
Secret:
Although the spectator thinks that he is cutting the cards in random ways, he’s actually dealing the aces onto the top of each of the four piles. All the spectator has to do is follow your instructions.
Materials:
A deck of cards with four aces.
Preparation:
Beforehand, place the four aces on top of the pack. Don’t let the spectator know that the aces are in this position. Ask your friend to cut the deck so there are four semi-equal piles of cards. You need to watch where the top part of the deck with the aces lands. For a cleaner effect, you can ask the spectator to separate the deck by dropping cards off the bottom of the deck to create the piles. This way, the pile with the aces will end up at your extreme right or left, which makes the next steps more logical
Point to one of the non-ace piles and ask the spectator to pick it up and hold it in his hand. Ask him to take three cards off of the top and place them on the bottom of the pile and then deal one card from the top of the pile onto each of the three other piles.
Repeat with another non-ace pile.
Repeat with the last non-ace pile.

A Card Trick
This is a moderatly simple to learn and implement trick...with little practice you can master it with ease.
Materials Needed : 1 Standard Card Deck
The Trick:
Ask someone to think of a number between 1 and 10. Have this person shuffle the deck, and count down to the number he/she thought of and remember that card. The cards are to be kept in the same position...not shuffled around during this counting; just counted. While the person is doing this, you can turn your back so that you can not see what they are doing.
After they have finished you turn around, take the deck and place it behind your back. Count off 19 cards, reversing their order, and place them back on the top of the deck.
Bring the deck back infront of you and ask the person the number from 1-10 that they originally thought of. Begin your count with that number, dealing the cards out one at a time. When you reach 20 cards let that person name their card as you turn it over.
Notes: Practice this trick before performing. It's easy to get confused on how a card trick works just from reading about it. Having a deck of cards in your hands as you try and learn the tricks on this page will make it much easy to learn, understand and then master.
In this convincing trick, the magician shows an envelope and explains that there is a prediction written within. The spectator is given a deck of cards and is asked to mix it and deal cards (face down) onto the table until they feel like stopping. When the letter inside the envelope is read, it states the exact card that the spectator last dealt onto the table.
Materials
A deck of cards, an envelope and a piece of paper. 2 of 8
Write the name of a card on the paper. For this example, we’ll be using the ten of clubs. Fold the paper and place it into the envelope. Close the envelope. You may seal it if you wish. Remove the card that’s written on the paper (ten of clubs) and place it underneath the envelope. Rest the envelope on the table and arrange the card so it’s easy to grab when you lift-up the envelope. This is the secret. After mentioning that an envelope is sitting on the table in plain view, ask the spectator to mix the deck and then deal cards, one by one, onto the table. Tell the spectator to stop dealing when he feels like it. Emphasize that the spectator could have stopped anywhere he wanted 6 of 8.
Lift the envelope with the card underneath it and rest it on the pile of cards. Don’t show the bottom of the envelope or you’ll give away the secret. This places the card, the ten of clubs, on top of the pile that’s on the table. The spectator will think that the top card was a result of him mixing and dealing the cards. But you have just placed a new card, the card written on the paper in the envelope, on top of the pile. 7 of 8 Ask the spectator to remove the envelope and to turn over the top card on the pile. It will be the card that you secretly placed there
Ask the spectator to remove the envelope and to turn over the top card on the pile. It will be the card that you secretly placed there. sk the spectator to open the envelope and read the paper, which will state his card. The spectator may examine all of the props because there will be nothing to find.
Ask the spectator to open the envelope and read the paper, which will state his card. The spectator may examine all of the props because there will be nothing to find.
This might be the best magic trick on all of Trick.
Effect:
The cards are spread out between the magician's hands and the spectator is instructed to touch one card somewhere in the middle of the pack. The touched card is turned face up. The deck is squared up, and the spectator cuts the deck several times. The jokers found the card! One joker is on top of the card, and one joker is right below the selected card. Truly a card masterpeice!
Secret:
First, get the jokers on the top and bottom of the deck as you shuffle the cards (you can pretend to count the cards to "make sure they are all there" or something.) Don't make it obvious. Once the jokers are on the top and bottom of the pack, do a couple fake shuffles. You can do a quick overhand shuffle and just leave the two cards in their place. Every good card trick becomes much better with a good shuffle.
Now, spread the cards out between your hands (like you would if you were fanning the cards in your two hands). Ask the spectator to TOUCH one card.
Then you just outjog it about an inch. (This means move their card toward them, but it still remains in the deck). Now if they touched a card near the middle, you should have about half the cards held in the left hand, and half in the right - but still in the fanned/spread out position. This is the hard part.
Use the cards in your right hand to push down on the right side of the selected card and the left hand's cards to push up on the left side of it.
This should flip the selected card face up.
Square up the cards, have the spectator cut the deck as many times as they want (single cuts only). Now spread the the cards out again and set them on the table. Pause. Say something like "Ohhhhhh the seven of diamonds!" Right now you should have their card sandwiched between the jokers, and the hard work is done.
Now it's time for the fun. Wave your handsover the deck and do something that looks a little magical. Have a member of the audience speak to the deck and say "Jokers...Find the Card!!"
Now build up the drama...
If you're using a table, move the three cards forward away from the rest of the deck. Turn all the other cards face up to show that there are no jokers in either pile. "No Jokers Here. No Jokers in this pile either!" Have them turn over the card right above and the card right below the face up card. Yes, the jokers have found the card!
